Steve Sokol, President
After receiving a BA in Marketing and a Psychology minor at the University of Illinois, Steve spent seven years with Sherwin-Williams Company, the last four as a District Sales Manager in the Chicago market. He then formed a commercial painting division for a successful residential contractor. In 1995, Steve moved to Arizona to develop the Phoenix market for Apex National Decorators, Inc. In January 2005 he took over sole ownership of Apex National. Steve is a proven leader and businessman as evidenced in his ability to support and inspire others to achieve. Steve welcomes challenges but also knows how to have fun. Softball,
golf and yoga are his current leisure activities.
Marianne Cox, Vice President of Operations
Marianne attended Trenton State and Arizona State University, graduating with Honors. Since joining Apex in January 2005, she has developed a strong business with decorative
design finishing options to add to Apex's diversity. She brings a wealth of creative experience including training under Master Artisan, Barth White. Marianne is the personification of "Paying it forward" to the community with her commitment to making a difference through leadership and direct involvement with strategic alliances that display social responsibility. Marianne is on the board of managers of the Scottsdale / Paradise Valley YMCA. She is an active member with the Christian Business Women's Association (CBWA) and is on the Leadership Council for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Robert Guzman, Field Superintendent
Robert has been with Apex for 9 years. As Field Superintendent he sets the pace with his knowledge, skill and work ethic as a journeyman painter. Robert believes in the attitude of "whatever it takes". He demonstrates great leadership and organizational skills. His unwavering faith in God is an asset in dealing with troublesome field issues that can arise from time to time. His time away from work is spent with his family and service through his church, preaching and working with troubled teens in Juvenile detention.
